In April 2002, in Assisi, the Italian sections of ESN decided to extend their National Platform event to their erasmus students, and the result was the first Evento Nazionale, a three-days long meeting that involved over 250 people.
The event was such a success that it was decided to organize it every year. Since then, each May, one of the Italian sections organizes this event, which became the largest erasmus event in Italy.
As of today, over 3000 Erasmus and international studends from all over the world gather to spend 4 days all together.
